# Agent instructions and configuration

A custom agent combines a clear identity with the smallest set of capabilities required for its job.

## Configure the agent

1. In `Agent info`, set a distinct name and a description that tells Fennec when to delegate.
2. In `Agent soul`, define how the agent describes itself, its personality, values, communication style, and operating instructions.
3. In `Permissions`, choose its managed role, runtime mode, memory scope, filesystem boundary, tools, skills, plugins, and channels.
4. In `Models`, choose Foxora-managed routing or an allowed own-model route.
5. Save, then run the same bounded prompt twice.

## Expected result

The agent gives consistent answers, requests the expected approvals, and does not discover tools or data outside its configured scope. Never place API keys or secrets in instructions.
