# Specialist roles and delegation

Fennec delegates well when each agent has a distinct role, a clear handoff description, and an output that can be verified.

## Make delegation predictable

1. Give the agent one responsibility in `Description`, including when Fennec should use it.
2. Choose a managed `Role` for doctrine and routing; keep it separate from the first-person identity in `Agent soul`.
3. Assign only the skills and tools needed to produce its result.
4. State a definition of done and when the specialist must return control or ask a question.
5. Test from a fresh task that requires this specialty and one that does not.

## Expected result

Fennec brings in the specialist for the matching task, leaves it out of unrelated work, and reports the specialist’s evidence as part of the overall result.
