# How Bot agents differ

Bot is an agent deployment type, not a weaker capability model or a separate product object.

## Compare the types

1. Use a `Text agent` for Foxora tasks and text-based channels.
2. Use a `Voice agent` for real-time audio and compatible phone or voice transports.
3. Use a `Bot agent` for customer-facing website chat and embedded widgets.
4. Configure tools, skills, memory, plugins, permissions, and models the same way for all three.
5. Match each agent to its compatible crew type: Agent, Voice, or Chatbot.

## Expected result

The selected type controls where the specialist may be deployed while its capability controls remain explicit. Studio blocks a Bot agent from an Agent or Voice crew, preventing a deployment label from silently changing the agent’s purpose.
