# First-run setup

First-run setup personalizes Fennec and chooses a safe default for new tasks without changing your files.

## Steps

1. Sign in, then choose the role that best matches how you work.
2. Select your main goals so Foxora can shape its starting guidance.
3. Choose Ask Permissions, Accept Edits, or Auto as the default autonomy for new tasks.
4. Configure voice if it is available, then finish setup and open a new task.

## Expected result

Foxora opens with your role, goals, autonomy, and optional voice preference saved. You can change them later in Settings.

> **Note:** Operating-system access such as Accessibility, Screen Recording, or Microphone is granted separately in Settings → Permissions.
