# Using MCP-powered tools in tasks

Supported plugin connections add tools to Foxora's discovery surface. Availability in a task still depends on the selected agent, policy, credentials, and any channel-specific restrictions.

## Use a connected tool

1. Connect the required account in `Settings` → `Plugins`.
2. Review the plugin detail to identify the action you need.
3. Allow the plugin or tool on the agent, crew member, or channel that will run it.
4. Start a task and state the intended app, action, and scope clearly.
5. Review any authorization prompt and verify the returned result before relying on it.

## Expected result

Fennec discovers and invokes only authorized connected tools. A missing tool usually indicates account, assignment, channel-policy, or runtime availability rather than an MCP server to add manually.
