# Memory Den overview

Memory Den is a read-only view of the Runtime’s canonical cognitive state across conversations, observations, active context, and durable knowledge.

## Review memory

1. Open `Studio` → `Memory`.
2. Search by anchor, content, scope, or tag.
3. Filter by `Conversations`, `Observations`, `Working`, or `Semantic`.
4. Read each card’s type, wording, scope, and timestamp.
5. Treat stale, sensitive, or incorrect information as untrusted until corrected at its owning source or through an available data control.

## Expected result

You can explain which memory card may influence a new task and whether it is safe to rely on. Memory Den does not provide direct card edit or delete controls. Desktop may also offer `Import from other assistants` when the local daemon finds supported sources.
