# Fennec processing tiers

Fennec tiers describe the level of work, not a permanent vendor model. The gateway can resolve and fail over models behind each tier without changing the user-facing choice.

## Choose a tier

1. Use `Fennec Fast` for quick, everyday tasks.
2. Choose `Fennec Pro` for strong general-purpose and multi-step work.
3. Choose `Fennec Max` for the hardest reasoning and trickiest builds.
4. Check the tier's lock or upgrade state before starting.
5. Run a representative task and move tiers only when the workload needs a different capability level.

## Expected result

The composer shows one understandable Fennec choice, while the managed gateway handles the underlying model and fallback routing.
