# Working with local folders

Foxora Desktop can attach a folder on your device to a task without uploading that path as cloud authority.

## Steps

1. Open a task and select its project control near the composer.
2. Choose Attach Project Folder and select the intended local root.
3. If it is a Git repository, choose shared project or an isolated worktree.
4. Confirm the project chip and Files tree show the selected folder before sending the request.

## Expected result

The task operates against the chosen local folder, and edits appear on disk under that root.

> **Note:** Cloud services receive an opaque workspace handle, not permission to treat your local path as a cloud filesystem.
