# Task and project problems

Verify the active task, project binding, device, and real folder before changing files or recreating a session.

1. Open the task and confirm its title, selected project, autonomy mode, and attached files.
2. On Desktop, verify the project folder still exists and the operating-system account can read it.
3. Check **Settings → System** for the local runtime or cloud workspace state.
4. If the task belongs to another device, connect that device instead of assuming its local files synced.
5. Retry with a harmless read, then compare the exact path in the tool card.

Do not create a replacement project until you know whether the issue is a missing folder, offline DeviceLink, permission refusal, or stale task binding. Preserve uncommitted repository work.

**Expected result:** the task reads the intended project on the correct device without pointing to a different folder.
