# Cloud workspace lifecycle

A cloud workspace can reconnect after the page or terminal view closes, while the task remains the durable record of what ran.

## Steps

1. Sign in and reopen the task from Tasks.
2. Wait for its managed workspace to become available before sending file or terminal work.
3. Reopen the Terminal tab; a stable tab reconnects to its existing shell and available scrollback.
4. Verify important output in Files and download a copy before any destructive cleanup.

## Expected result

The resumed task points to its cloud files and terminal context instead of creating an unrelated workspace.

> **Note:** Treat downloaded or committed output as the recovery boundary for irreplaceable work; a browser tab alone is not a backup.
