What your computer needs to run Studio.

Studio installs like any other app. On Windows it adds Microsoft WebView2 if it is missing. On Linux your package manager adds the rest.

New versions come to you.

Studio looks for a new version by itself. You choose when to install it and when to restart. On the web, you always have the newest version.

It checks by itself

Soon after Studio opens, and every six hours while it stays open, it looks for a new version.

It shows you what's new. Nothing downloads until you choose Download & install.

It checks the signature

Studio checks that the update is signed by Foxora. If the check fails, nothing is installed.

Restart when it suits you

Your sign-in, projects and settings stay as they were. To check now, open Settings, then About.

Check the file before you open it.

Every file has a checksum: a long string that changes if even one byte of the file changes. Work out yours with the command for your system, then find the file's name in our list. The two strings must match; capital letters don't matter. If they don't match, don't open the file, and tell us.

Questions

A few questions before you install.

Which Mac do I have?

Open the Apple menu and choose About This Mac. If it says Chip, with an Apple M-series name, choose Apple Silicon. If it says Processor, with an Intel name, choose Intel.

Still not sure? The Universal build runs on both.

Do I need the desktop app?

No. You can do everything in your browser at app.foxora.ai, and web tasks run in Foxora Cloud. Add the desktop app when you want a task to run on this computer, with your own folders, terminal and browser.

Does it cost anything?

The download is free, and so is the Free plan: 200 credits a month, no card required. Paid plans add more credits and stronger crews. See pricing.

My computer isn't listed.

There is no desktop build yet for Windows on Arm or for Arm Linux. Use Studio in your browser at app.foxora.ai instead.

How do I uninstall it?
