Use release notes with the installed client version to understand changes, plan an update, and verify the result.

In Desktop, open Settings → About and record both the app and engine identifiers.
In CLI, run foxora --version; Desktop and CLI can update independently.
Open the official Foxora releases page and read every release between the installed and target versions.
Save active work and export important local data before a major repair or migration.
Update through Check for Updates or foxora update, then rerun the original task.

Release tags and availability change over time, so this documentation does not freeze a “latest” version number. Use the signed release channel and in-product updater as the current authority.

Expected result: About or foxora --version reports the intended build and the original acceptance check still passes.
