Test a custom agent before adding it to a crew, channel, or recurring workflow.

Run a focused test
- Open the custom agent and go to
Models. - Enter a small
Test promptwith an observable answer or artifact. - Select
Save & run. This saves the current configuration before executing the test. - Read the returned response or the
Test run failedmessage. - Repeat with a boundary case that should require an approval, refuse an action, or ask for missing context.
Expected result
The agent completes the normal case with the intended capabilities and handles the boundary case according to its permissions. After that, run it once from a fresh task; the embedded test alone does not verify crew or channel routing.
