02Built-in tool catalog
Workspace built-ins can include file, shell, browser, and other Runtime capabilities. The live catalog is the authority; a fixed documentation list would become stale.
03How agents select tools
An agent can request only capabilities it can discover from its configuration and the active Runtime. Relevance does not override authority.
04Tool inputs and results
Tool calls stay visible in the task transcript so you can inspect what was requested and what the Runtime returned.
05Tool permissions and approvals
Tool access is layered: agent assignment, task mode, operating-system permission, connected-account scope, and hard Runtime policy all apply.
06Handle tool failures
A failed tool row is evidence about one action, not proof that the whole task or connection is broken.
07Connect additional tools
Studio does not author executable tools. Add capability by connecting an app or MCP integration, or by changing the workspace Runtime outside this catalog.
